Loss of Ignition

Built with industrial users and large-scale scientific facilities inmind, the XRF Scientific automated macro thermogravimetric analyser (TGA) is a high-throughput solution for a wide range of thermal analysis applications. Our TGA system is based on 30 years’ experience developing precise heating and weighing solutions for applications across the full spectrum of science and industry. Thermogravimetry sets the standard for thermal decomposition testing for parameters as varied as moisture, volatiles, ash, fixed-carbon, and Loss on Ignition (LOI) content. Our TGA analyser leverages proprietary heating and weighing systems to continuously monitor sample mass changes over time as a function of temperature. User-defined thermal programs can be easily established using an intuitive touchscreen interface, enabling customers to establish different thermogravimetric profiles depending on their materials/phenomena of interest.
Our brand-new TGA adds value to high-throughput workflows with an increased sample capacity and greater temperature capabilities without a significant uptick in cost.
Flux & Flux Weigher

From raw material through to final product our flux uniquely provides the modern laboratory with a quality that enables elemental analysis with limited background interference.
The source of our raw material is monitored and provides the basis to consistent and quantitative results.
Our product range delivers you with choice, across the various ratios of Lithium Tetraborate and Lithium Metaborate in both granular and beaded (spherical) form.

Platinum Labware
XRF Scientific Platinum Labware is the reference brand for labware, for XRF sample preparation or all other analytic methods. Produced in house from melting to the finished product XRF Scientific is setting the benchmark for high quality platinum labware – everything from one source, worldwide.

Crushing, Grinding & Dividing

Our Orbis range consists of dual action fine crushers, designed by experts with decades of experience in sample preparation. The efficiency of the dual action jaws allows for
samples to be reduced by up to 55 times their original size. With large mining customers in mind, our flagship OM100 was designed to take drill core samples down to 2 mm in a single pass.

Fusion Machine
The XrFuse 1 is an instrument that allows for the seamless sample preparation of glass
beads for XRF and ICP solutions. The machine expands our range of industry leading electric fusion machines that are already available in two and six positions. The XrFuse 1 takes all of the robust and reliable features from the XrFuse 2 and 6, into a compact machine, ideal for lower throughput users or specialised applications. Through our proprietary quick change-out mechanism, users can alternate between XRF glass bead and ICP solutions preparations in a matter of seconds. The unit is cold-to-cold, fully CE certified, extremely safe and easy to use.

Reference Materials /XRF Drift Monitors
The main use of an XRF monitor sample is to correct for instrumental drift over time. It is not necessarily a Certified Reference Material (CRM) or calibration standard but can be used to correct for any changes in the calibration due to variation in instrument performance. The monitor should have good long term stability so that XRF instrument programs can be used for long periods without recalibration. The prime requirement of a monitor is that the count rates for the elements it contains do not change over time. It is not necessary that the count rates of the elements be near those of the samples being analysed, but certain potential errors are reduced if there is an order of magnitude correspondence between the count rates from the monitor and the samples being analysed. Apart from other considerations this minimizes counting times.

Precious Metals and Master Alloy for Jewellery Industry
Streamlining our customers’ production is one of our utmost important goals. We have therefore established a well-equipped material laboratory and an advanced casting workshop to continuously develop more advanced and user-friendly alloys for our clients. Our workshop has been working closely with the local research institutes and our laboratory in Germany. In depth technical expertise and the state-of-art equipment are seen as a cornerstone for continuous research into new products to benefit our precious clients.
